How to get started

To get started you will need to have or create an account for Zendesk Support that is linked to an account for Zendesk Chat . Once you have set up those accounts you will be given a Zendesk account subdomain that you will be asked to enter during the setup of this integration. Once entered, you can then easily enable the display of the widget via the integration's setup page; no additional code is required to be pasted into your Shopify site.

To explore the end user experience after linking your Shopify and Zendesk Chat accounts, just log into your Zendesk Chat account, ensure an agent is available and then visit your Shopify site to start a chat.

Note: The app is free for Zendesk customers who are on the Team Plan or above.

It doesn't work after install. Dead support URL. The log in is not set right to initiate log in. doo dah

installed it and "Whoops, looks like something went wrong.......................................................


I installed twice, to make sure I was not doing something wrong...but in both cases it was not clear what I had to do and how to get out from installing the entire Zendesk suite, which was about 3K a year. I did not need zendesk support and the other stuff, but just the chat. Also, with other apps I have, the interface is within Shopify, while this one will make you sign up for a zendesk account on a portal where you handle all the setting. The portal is simply horrible! Bottom line, I uninstalled everything.
